Disruption is occurring in every industry. We leverage incredible technologies to inspire leaders to think differently.

What is Enterprise Innovation?

Technology is advancing faster than ever, forcing our communities and companies to decide between “change” or “be changed.” ETA workshops awaken the natural curiosity and enthusiasm for technology and learning that can get lost in the daily grind.

Workshops & Innovation Labs

Imagine your audience controlling a quadcopter with code as it flies through the air, competing against a Machine Learning / AI computer – or 3D printing a replica of the coffee cup you drink out of every day. That’s what happens at our hands-on workshops. Attendees don’t sit and listen to lectures on why technology matters – they experience it firsthand.

Engagements

We create custom Innovation Labs and presentations for client events of all sizes, from executive leadership meetings and training sessions, to large conferences with tens of thousands of attendees. We can take the lead, or work directly with client units to craft the perfect experience.

Results

Thousands of attendees have engaged hands-on with amazing technologies, including 3D scanners & printers, robots, drones, VR & augmented reality, and machine learning. ETA Innovation Events drive a discussion about the implications of technology on the future of industry and create an organizational dialogue about thinking differently.

Drones, Robotics, and Autonomous Vehicles

Robotics, drones, and autonomous vehicles are affecting everything from logistics and security to farming and agriculture. As regulations loosen and equipment costs continue to fall, quadcopters and autonomous / unmanned vehicles will create new business opportunities and operating models.

Attendees will drive / fly small robots (Quadcopters or SoccerBots) using a laptop. Quadcopters can be flown around freely (within safety guidelines), while the SoccerBots are “ground-based” robots, used to play a team game of soccer.

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

Computers that learn from vast amounts of data are now predicting your next purchase, detecting credit card fraud, providing medical diagnosis, and even driving cars. Machine learning, a subset of artificial intelligence, has been around for many years, however new computing technologies, robotics, and automation are bringing AI and machine learning to almost every industry.

Lab Overview: Attendees observe a computer “learning” how to play Atari 2600 Video Games. The machine begins as an ineffective, virtually random player, with no discernible knowledge of the game. But “HAL” quickly becomes significantly more capable, eventually “playing” the game as an expert. Attendees can even play against the ever-improving machine, providing an interactive human vs. learning machine demonstration.

Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR)

We are witnessing the convergence of the physical and digital worlds with the rise of Virtual and Augmented Reality. VR head mounted displays already allow students to visit distant locations; aspiring doctors can explore the body from the inside, and NCAA quarterbacks can practice taking snaps without setting foot on a gridiron. Augmented Reality is taking this concept to an entirely new level, combining digital information and objects with the real world.

Attendees try on VR (Virtual Reality) and AR (Augmented Reality) headsets, and explore any number of experiences (still photos, videos, games, demonstrations, etc). ETA demonstrations generally leverage Microsoft Hololens, HTC Vive, Oculus, Samsung Gear VR, and “Google cardboard” headsets.

3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing

Additive manufacturing (3D printing) has been around for decades, but concerns about speed, cost-effectiveness, and commercial manufacturing viability are now quickly fading away. With the capacity to now 3D print in hundreds of materials, additive manufacturing is now emerging in industries such as automotive, medical, pharmaceutical, aerospace, retail, and construction.

Attendees observe 3D prints in action throughout the event (highlighting some of the more unique capabilities), and will learn about the future of the technology. ETA personnel utilize a handheld 3D scanner to demonstrate the real-time scanning of persons and objects. 3D mappings of some attendees can even be created, and 3D printed during the event.

Your in-depth knowledge and insight around the millennials, technology and the future workspace and the convergence of the two provided our participants with unique views on the exponential changes happening and for the need to be adaptable in the future.

How We Work

01.

Define Target

ETA Innovation events are about much more than just hand-on interaction with new technologies. We work with clients to craft an event and interactions that promote the desired business application – whether it is attendee education, discussion around industry disruption, or simply making cocktail hour a lot more exciting.

02.

Outline Plan

You tell us the when and where, and we can handle the rest. We have years of organizing and operating large-scale meetups and conferences – leave the details (and worrying!) to us. For larger scale events, we work directly with event administrators on everything from booth layout and planning to logistics and agenda.

03.

Select Labs

We work with you to select labs that best suit your event. Some labs are more interactive and challenging (robot soccer, quadcopters, VR), while other labs focus on observation and discussion (3D scanning & printing, machine learning). We can even bring industry experts to present.

04.

Execute

Whether we are running the labs or coordinating speakers, we understand that successful execution is the only thing that matters. Our team is professional and engaging. Let us apply the same diligence we bring to our clients to help you create an amazing and effective event.
